We're going to Taiwan in August

We got the call we've been waiting for since first learning of Jia Ling back in November 2005! We have a travel date to go and bring our daughter home! John and Heather leave for Taiwan on Sunday, Aug. 6th, the day after Nichole and Erik's wedding. We arrive in Taipei the evening of Monday, Aug. 7th. This happens to be our 20th wedding anniversary! What a way to celebrate! We catch a quick flight the next morning, Aug. 8th to Tainan in southern Taiwan. We need to be at St. Lucy's Center by 9:00 am to meet our newest reason for Jubilee! Aug. 8th will forever be "gotcha day" for our Gracie Rose. We spend the next few days at immigration appointments, limited site seeing, and mostly just getting to know our new daughter. We pray she will feel happy and safe with us. We will do all we can to assure her that she can trust us. We fly home on Sunday, Aug. 13th. We leave Taiwan at 4:00 pm, and arrive in the U.S. at 2:30 pm the same day! We chase the clock all the way home! The next several weeks will fly by as we are so busy, but once we bring Gracie Rose home our lives will have settled down to a normal routine. There is no doubt in our minds that the Lord is in the details of our lives. We have been too impatient wanting to bring our daughter home months ago, but this timing is going to work out perfect for our family. We will try to post most everyday from Taiwan to keep all our loved one posted on our journey. Thanks for all your prayers and support.
