3rd Place at State Track Meet
Once again we have reason to celebrate our fastest Jewkes! (Although you can see from the photo of Isaac in Nate's shoes that Nate may have some competion someday soon.) Nate took 3rd place at the State Track Meet in the 3200 Meter Race (2 mile). He was in 2nd place until the last 50 yards, and tried his hardest to stay there, but was passed. All the rest of us Jewkes' were there to cheer him on! Nate still ran the 3200 in the fastest time he ever had run it, coming in at 9 mins. 39 seconds. This photo was taken just minutes after the race and Nate was spent. Nate has gotten "interest letters" from several colleges, including Utah State, Southern Utah State, Harvard and Yale. He will anxiously wait to see "offer letters" come next year.
