Happy Chinese New Year

Gracie has been home for 6 months now and it feels like she has always been one of us. We celebrated our 1st Chinese New Year in February. We hung colorful lanterns and dragons around the kitchen and dining room. We ate yummy Chinese Food. And the children were all thrilled with the "red envelope" tradition of receiving money as a gift in a red envelope. Gracie and Isaac received a small toy in a red envelope instead of money. These photo's of Gracie were taken during the week of Chinese New Year. She is in her traditional Taiwanese/Chinese costume. The few pictures we were able to get turned out cute. Gracie was very scared at the photo studio. She cried and clung to me for 15 minutes or so. The photographer was patient and finally with some help from big brother Brigham and a roll of smarties candies, we were able to coax her into letting us snap a few photo's.
