Isaac and Gracie's first year playing soccer. They were on the same team. I love soccer at this age. After years of the older kids on competitive teams it is so refreshing to go back to a time in sports where it is "fun" again. It is so funny to watch these little ones trying to figure out the game or even trying to stay focused long enough to play the game. Nichole was visiting for one Saturday while the kids played. She took these photo's.
Gracie scored a couple of goals this year! She got more into the game once Dad promised her a Wendy's Frosty for scoring her first goal. Before that she only liked the "social" aspect of the game and kicking the ball if it happened to roll near her foot.
Isaac came off the field the first game and said, "Mom, I'm the best player on our team." And the fact is that he is right. He is aggressive and scores most of the goals. The coach has to have him play goalie at times so the other kids have a chance to score. Having 3 older brothers help him know what is going on with the game.
